The short version
PediaScore does not require an account. Patient profiles, assessment responses, calculated scores, favorites, and recent activity are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to Valiora Labs servers.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Valiora Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the PediaScore mobile application and on the PediaScore website. PediaScore is designed as an offline pediatric bedside decision-support tool for healthcare professionals.
By using PediaScore, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. The app supplements—and does not replace—professional judgment, clinical evaluation, and applicable local protocols.
2. Information handled by the app
Information you enter
You may choose to enter or create:
- Patient aliases or initials and other profile details you decide to record.
- Assessment answers, calculated scores, interpretations, and timestamps.
- Favorites, recent calculations, and assessment history.
This information is stored locally on your device. We do not receive, collect, or store it on our servers. We encourage you to use aliases or initials and to avoid entering directly identifying patient information.
No account or cloud profile
PediaScore does not require account registration or sign-in. The app does not create a cloud-based patient record and does not transmit patient assessment data to Valiora Labs.
Website information
The PediaScore website does not ask you to create an account or submit patient information. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information. Basic technical logs may be processed by our website hosting provider for security, reliability, and delivery of the site, according to that provider’s own practices.
3. Exports, clipboard, and sharing
PediaScore allows you to copy clinical notes and export individual assessments or patient histories as PDF files. These actions occur at your direction using features provided by your device.
Once you copy or export information, its handling depends on the destination you select—such as another app, a file location, email, printing service, or messaging service. Review the destination carefully and follow your organization’s privacy, security, and record-handling requirements before sharing any clinical information.
4. Retention and deletion
Locally stored information remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or erase the device. Because we do not hold your app data on our servers, we cannot retrieve, restore, or delete it for you.
Before deleting the app, export any information you are permitted and required to retain. Deleting the app may permanently remove its locally stored data, subject to how your device manages backups.
5. Security and your responsibilities
Keeping data on-device limits transmission, but no storage method is completely secure. Protect your device with an up-to-date operating system, a strong passcode, biometric authentication where appropriate, and the security controls required by your organization.
You are responsible for deciding what information to enter, maintaining physical and digital control of your device, and using PediaScore in accordance with applicable laws, professional duties, and institutional policies.
6. Children’s privacy
PediaScore is intended for use by clinicians and other healthcare professionals, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. References to pediatric patients in locally stored assessments are controlled by the clinician using the device and are not transmitted to us.
7. Third-party services and links
Downloading PediaScore through the App Store involves Apple, which may process information under its own privacy policy. The app and website may also link to clinical references or external legal pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.
Your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to PediaScore, legal requirements, or our practices. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice where required.
